Add Branded Mail in Apple Business Connect

Branded Mail gives business owners the ability to add a brand logo and name to their business emails, so that they can make emails stand out in Mail app.

Before you start

Domain structure

You can add Branded Mail in three ways

Domain and subdomains: @lbp-sb.com
By verifying @lbp-sb.com, all email address and subdomain will be used as Branded Mail. For example, it@stthomas.lbp-sb.com.
Subdomain only: @stthomas.lbp-sb.com
By verifying @stthomas.lbp-sb.com, all email address will be used as Branded Mail. For example, coordinator@stthomas.lbp-sb.com.
Specific email address: admin@lbp-sb.com
By verifying admin@lbp-sb.com, all email sent to customers will be used as Branded Mail.

DMARC verification

Apple checks DNS records for DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance), a TXT record in the domain's DNS record, to help prevent email spoofing and protect company's brand.

The following DMARC settings are required on your mail server's DNS record to use Branded Mail

The "v" value must be set to "DMARC1"
The "p" or "sp" (only if registering subdomains where the DMARC record is on the parent domain) value must be set to "quarantine" or "reject"
The "pct" value must be set to "100"

An example DNS can be the following:

Type: TXT
Name: _dmarc
Content: "v=DMARC1; p=reject; pct=100;"

Add your domain

Select "Branded Mail" in the sidebar.
Select "Add", then enter the domain or email address.
Copy the unique TXT record for your domain, paste the record to your DNS server, restart the DNS service if needed.
Select "Verify".
When verification is complete, your domain will be published once verified.
